Notice to parents/guardians of children who have moved to Akita City and
wish to have vaccinations at our clinic
•Before visiting our clinic, please have yourMaternal and Child Health(MCH) Handbook(母子手帳)issued atthe Child Health Section of the Akita City Public Health Center (external
links. What's the MCH handbook?)After receiving the MCH Handbook, please go to the vaccination page and fill in as much detail as possible
about the record of vaccinations completed so far and visit our clinic.
•On the first visit, we will make a vaccination plan, and at the second
and subsequent visits, immunization will be given. We offer multiple vaccinations
at the same time to ensure that the necessary vaccinations are completed
as quickely as possible.
•Most vaccinations for children are paid for at public expense in Japan. However, the maximum age limit for publicly funded vaccinations is strictly
regulated in Japan.
•In addition, mumps vaccine, influenza vaccine, and some other vaccinations
are not covered by public funds, so, parents are responsible for the cost
of these vaccines. In order to proceed with vaccinations in accordance with
the vaccination schedule in Japan,we need to know exactly what vaccinations your children have completed
so farincluding before coming to Akita City.We appreciate your cooperation in
this matter.
