Information on the FY2026 (Reiwa 8) Routine Coronavirus Vaccination Program

Routine vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine will begin on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

🟢 Vaccination Start Date/Eligible Individuals

The vaccination start date is October 1, 2026 (Thu).

Those who are registered as residents in Akita City and meet any of the following conditions on the vaccination date are eligible for routine vaccination.

• Aged 65 and over
• Individuals aged 60 to 64 who have a disability in heart, kidney, or respiratory functions, or immune function due to HIV, and who are equivalent to Grade 1 on the Physical Disability Certificate

The number of doses for the routine vaccination is once during the period.

💰 Vaccination fee

The fee for the COVID-19 vaccination at our clinic for fiscal year 2026 is15,700 yen per sessionbetween 27 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

The out-of-pocket costs for eligible individuals for routine vaccination are as follows:

1. Taxable households:7,800 yen
2. For tax-exempt households:6,800 yen
3. For public assistance households and others:Free

Those who are not eligible for routine vaccination will receive optional vaccination, and the vaccination fee is15,700 JPYbetween 27 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

*Even if you are tax-exempt yourself, if there is someone in the same household who is subject to taxation, it is considered a "taxable household."

Please fill out the medical questionnaire

To reduce wait times in the hospital, please fill out all sections of the questionnaire in advance—excluding "Body temperature to be measured after arrival"—and print and bring it with you.

We also have the same medical questionnaire available at the clinic reception desk, so if it is difficult for you to print or prepare it in advance, you can fill it out after arriving at the clinic.

If you wish to receive simultaneous vaccinations, please book online for both the "COVID-19 vaccine" and the "influenza (injection) vaccine" on the same day, respectively.One by onePlease make a reservation.It is not a problem even if the two reservation times are far apart.Out of the reserved time,Please visit the clinic at either of these times.You will receive two types of vaccines simultaneously at the time of your visit.

🏥 What to bring on the day of vaccination

• My Number card or other documents to verify address and age
• Individuals eligible for routine vaccination between the ages of 60 and 64, such as a copy of a physical disability certificate or other documents that can verify the name, type of disability, and grade.

For tax-exempt households, please also bring one of the following documents that confirms all household members are tax-exempt.

• tax exemption certificate obtained within the fiscal year
• Notice of Determination (Change) of the Latest Fiscal Year's Long-Term Care Insurance Premium
• Long-term Care Insurance Benefit Limit Reduction Certificate within its expiration date

Those on public assistance and similar welfare households should bring their "Medical Guidebook."

📌 Other Information

• Those eligible for the routine vaccination are residents registered in Akita City.
• Vaccination tickets will not be sent.
• Those who have already received the routine COVID-19 vaccination this fiscal year cannot receive a second publicly funded vaccination.
• There are no restrictions on the vaccination interval between the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines.
• Vaccination may be postponed if you are feeling unwell or have a fever.
