👶 Subsidies for vaccination costs for children and pregnant women

Target audience
Those who are registered as residents in Akita City as of the vaccination date and fall under any of the following categories are eligible.
・Those who are between 6 months old and middle school students as of the first vaccination date.
・Pregnant women

Tuesday, September 1, 2026 – Sunday, February 28, 2027
The vaccination period at our clinic is scheduled from Friday, September 11, 2026, to Monday, December 28, 2026.

💉Vaccination fees at our clinic
Except for the eligible individuals for the elderly influenza vaccination listed below, the vaccination fee at our clinic isIt is 3,500 yen per time, regardless of age.
Eligible children and pregnant women in Akita City can deduct the Akita City subsidy of 1,000 yen from the 3,500 yen vaccination fee,Payment at the counter is 2,500 yen per transaction.That's how it goes.

💴Grant amount and number of grants
The maximum subsidy amount is 1,000 yen per application (Akita City).
Children aged 6 months to under 13 years old: Up to 2 doses
- Junior high school students 13 and older: Once
- Pregnant women: Once
Starting this fiscal year, junior high school students are also newly eligible for subsidies.

Funding Method
Our clinic is a cooperative medical institution affiliated with Akita City for proxy receipt.
Eligible individuals are requested to pay the subsidized amount (2,500 yen per dose) at our clinic reception. There is no need to apply for the subsidy to Akita City yourself after vaccination.
* If you receive two doses, the out-of-pocket copay at the clinic/office for each eligible dose is 2,500 yen.

Please bring the following documents on the day of vaccination.
・ID document of the person to be vaccinated (such as a My Number card)
Application Form for Influenza Vaccination Subsidy and Proxy Receipt Delegation of Authority
・Pregnant women: Documents confirming pregnancy, such as a Maternal and Child Health Handbook
Please fill out the letter of attorney with a pen that does not erase.
Documents with corrected requested amounts cannot be accepted.
If you make an error on the form, please rewrite it from the beginning on a new sheet.

👪 Regarding vaccination for minors
At our clinic, we handle the accompaniment of a parent or guardian when minors receive the influenza vaccination as follows:
[Under 16 years of age]
Please come accompanied by a parent or guardian.
As a rule, individuals under 16 years of age cannot be vaccinated alone, even if they bring a pre-examination form signed by a parent or guardian.
[For those 16 and 17 years old]
If all of the following conditions are met, you can visit the clinic alone to receive the vaccination.
・Parents/guardians fully understand the vaccination and consent to it.
Parents/guardians must fill out the necessary information on the medical questionnaire printed from our clinic's website.
・The parent/guardian has personally signed the signature section of the pre-examination questionnaire.
- Being able to contact a parent or guardian by phone on the day of vaccination
If there is no guardian's signature or if the details provided require confirmation, vaccination on the day may not be possible.
Even for those 16 and older, a parent or guardian may be required to accompany them if they have underlying medical conditions, severe allergies, or a history of abnormal reactions to past vaccinations, or if the individual is unable to provide a sufficient explanation of their health condition.

[For those 18 and older]
You can receive the vaccination alone based on your own judgment and consent.

About FluMist

For the 2026 fiscal year, FluMist (nasal live-attenuated influenza vaccine) vaccinations will be administered.

Reservations start: Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM
Vaccination period: Scheduled from Monday, September 28, 2026 to Saturday, December 5, 2026
Target: Aged 2 to under 19 (Ages 2–18)
Fee: 8,000 yen per session

Reservation acceptance will close once the scheduled number of doses is reached. Please make a reservation after reviewing the reservation method and pre-vaccination precautions.

Target audience
Individuals registered as residents in Akita City who fall under any of the following categories are eligible.
・Those aged 65 or older on the vaccination date
・Those who are 60 to 64 years old on the vaccination date, have a severe disability in heart, kidney, or respiratory functions, or in immune function due to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and are equivalent to Grade 1 of the Physical Disability Certificate.

Out-of-pocket cost　
- Taxable households: 1,700 yen
- Tax-exempt households: 1,100 yen
- For households on welfare, etc.: Free
Even if you are exempt from municipal inhabitant tax, if there is someone in your household who is taxed, your out-of-pocket expenses will be based on the taxed household rate.
