Acne treatment has advanced significantly, with the development of medications (comedo treatments) that improve pore blockages, allowing for early intervention. By continuing comedo treatment, it's now possible to prevent recurrent red acne and maintain smooth, clear skin.

In addition to the topical prescriptions mentioned above, we will prescribe oral antibiotics doxycycline (Vibramycin®) with a recommendation level A for moderate to severe cases, depending on the skin condition.
Acne is a chronic disease that worsens around puberty and continues for a long time even after adulthood. Starting treatment before it gets severe and continuing treatment at least throughout puberty is the surest way to avoid acne scars.
